Quick and easy meal to feed the masses from Paula Deen from the Food Network
Costs a little over $15 to make and feeds 10-12 people
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
2 cups diced onions
2 (15 1/2-ounce) cans pinto beans
1 (15 1/2-ounce) can pink kidney beans
1 (15 1/4-ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can Mexican-style stewed tomatoes
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can tomatoes with chiles
1 (4.6-ounce) can black olives, drained and sliced, optional
1 (1 1/4-ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 (1-ounce) package ranch salad dressing mix
Corn chips, for serving
Sour cream, for garnish
Grated cheese, for garnish
Chopped green onions, for garnish
Directions
Brown the ground beef and onions in a large skillet; drain the excess fat, then transfer the browned beef and onions to a large slow cooker or a stockpot. Add the beans, corn, tomatoes, black olives, taco seasoning, and ranch dressing mix, and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour in a pot on the stove. To serve, place a few corn chips in each bowl and ladle soup over them. Top with sour cream and cheese.

Big boy
I couldn't think of a creative title, so there you go. Michael has gotten so big lately and is doing some pretty cool things.
1- He is 1/2 way potty trained. Kinda self imposed, but he will only go #1 on the toilet. 2 weeks straight of dry diapers (even at night). But refuses to go #2 on the toilet. Kinda backwards of what I would like. Any suggestions? Tried all kind of bribes and rewards, but no go.

2- He knows almost all of his lower and uppercase letters thanks to a wonderful DVD recommended by his genius baby friend. Meet the Letters, you can buy it from Amazon.com. It claims to be able to teach your toddler the alphabet in 2 weeks (if you child will actually sit through the DVD once a day)!
3- He knows most of his shapes, can count to 10, and we are working on colors (poor color blind kid, maybe we should have bought Meet the Colors first!)
4. Has discovered potty talk and likes to talk about eating "poo poo sandwiches"
5. Likes to pee standing up in the tub. He will use every muscle he has to squeeze out any last drop that is in there.
